ok so if you have talked to me for more than like five seconds, you probably know that i love quotes. i have always wanted to have a blog where i share quotes i like and kind of elaborate on what they make me feel and why i may like said quote.

so naturally i thought i would start with one of my favorite quotes “I believe in love”. it’s not really a quote it’s more of a statement. but my favorite musical is HAIR. if you haven’t seen it you should. I have seen it a couple times and it has always been a life changing experience for me. there is a song in it called “i believe in love” and the character Sheila sings:

“i believe in love. i believe in love. i believe that now is the time for all good men to believe in love.”

and when i heard those words a light bulb went off in my head. DING. everything i have been taught and believed and fought about my whole life can be summed up into one word: LOVE! 

whether you are a christian, atheist, buddhist anything the world would be a better place if we all just spread love. we hear about all of these suicides because of bullying, and all of them could have been prevented if the people just stopped for a sec to spread love. its a smile to the lady at starbucks, its handing a water bottle to the homeless guy on the corner of the highway, its texting a friend who is having a hard day. really how hard is it to  spread love? its not. 

i grew up in a christian environment, and i gotta say plainly they don’t always live by this standard, no one does. and I’m not perfect either. i WISH i could always follow what i preach…i try to though and that’s all we can hope for. its so easy to get hung up on logistics and you should do this and you should think that. but I’ve got one word for you….love.
